SUN PRINT JEWELRY
The final touch of the jewelry is given by exposure to the sun.
As a tribute to the Old School photo development process.
The jewelry you receive is clean and white. The customer shrinks the pieces of fabric to suit his/her taste. When the jewelry is exposed to the sun, the exposed parts will be scorched and change their color.
An ancient printing technique called cyanotype similar to the principles of early photography.
In the past, it was customary to take pictures by exposing sensitive material to light, a process which enables the fixation of an image. Remnants of this method remained in use until recently in the use of cameras with film. Nowadays, we use digital cameras but the old expression, light exposure, remains to this day.
